200 Hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Trainings
In order to become a Registered Yoga Teacher, you must complete a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training through a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance. These entry-level trainings are designed to get you familiar with the concepts of yoga postures, sequencing, philosophy, teaching methodology and practice.
Having led, assisted and been a student in eight trainings with 1,000 hours of certified training under her wing, Jesi developed a cohesive training program covering the full body of yoga, the evolution of modern yoga, and anatomy primers to keep new teachers and their students safe.

Training Starts January 2020
Join Jesi Young, Founder of PureJoy Yoga, for an indepth study of the art and science of yoga, it's history and roots, and the application of teaching principles. This course is designed specifically for students who want to teach the full body of yoga, including guiding principles, safety in asana, and how to be a good yoga teacher.

Philosophy & History
In the philosophy primer, we will cover the evolution of yoga from its early history to modern yoga in America. Learn the origins of common cues, sequencing, and the hatha and vinyasa styles of yoga.
Additional focus will be applied through readings from Iyengar's Light on Pranayama, The Yoga Sutras, and The Bhagavad Gita.
We will cover the Nadi System and the Subtle body as applied in theory and practice through pranayama exercises and exploration of the Prana Maya Kosha in Asana.

Anatomy
A strong theme through this training will be functional anatomy, the way the body is designed to move, and the application to asana. The implication of asana on the nervous system and why yoga works based on scientific research will be discovered.
